100% literacy for India by 2020
If India is to become a developed state, and get respected in the world, one of the requirements which is easier to achieve is 100% literacy. No country can become great, developed unless its people are literate and function as effective citizens. As PM, Vajpayee has proposed this literacy as his vision in his independence day address in 1999. It can be achieved within 3 years by 2020 by making it as a national mission, have policy direction, making all citizens participate and drive it. I am hoping PM, Finance Minister and HRD minister can make policy directions and budgetary allocations for this starting from 2018. It is not just an HRD education task, it can be a task for tribal development, minorities welfare, women welfare, rural development, urban development, schedule castes development. SVCC Temple, Fremont Visit For Vaikunta Ekadasi dwara darshnam
I am not that religious or that disciplined. But some how this year happened to get up early on this Friday 29th December on the eve of Vaikunta Ekadasi, took shower , after routine few minutes of daiva dhyanamu , went to SVCC Temple in Fremont. It is nearer to the house, quite cosy and has a good balance of ritual worship and devotional atmosphere. It is amazing how Fremont and Silicon Valley has been changing in the last 27 years. Previously we had to go to remote Livermore valley Shiva Vishnu Temple, which used to be just a big empty fenced lot with two garbha gudi rooms with front room for devotees. Now it has become huge nice , well sculptured traditonal south indian temple complex. But we do not need to go that far driving 25 miles. Fremont has two temples, neighboring Newark one temple. ఈ రోజు వైకుంఠ ఏకాదశి శుక్రవారము . బుద్ది కుదిరి ఉదయంనే లేచి తలస్నానము చేసి , దైవధ్యానం చేసి , సిద్ధి వినాయక గుడి కి పోయి చక్కగా ఉత్తర ద్వారదర్శనము చేసుకొని ప్రసాదము తిని, చాలా రోజులనుండి అనుకొంటున్న ఈ వ్రాత కార్యక్రమము సరదాగా మొదలు పెట్టాను. తెలుగు లో వ్రాయడం కష్టమైనా తెలుగు English వ్రాయడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తాను ; ఈరోజు గుడి లో వేంకటేశ్వరస్వామి విగ్రహమును ఎంతో అందముగా అలంకరించారు ; ఆ ఫోటో తో మొదలు పెట్టాను
